You
have a great product and I would like to order my second handle. Please
let me know when you have the high option in stock again. Thank you. JV, Georgia

I
really like my kettlestack; I can't assemble it as fast as the video (I
guess the Harlem Globetrotter's theme was a hint), but it's still
plenty easy to build , tweak and get back to working out. Great
Product! TJ,Pennsylvania

dear
kettlestack, just recieved my first k-stack 2 days ago and love the
feel and balance of the k-stack. this is my first k-bell, and will be
the only type i get. feels great and the cost mmakes it the only
sensible way to go. thanks fr a great product. d.g. sarasota, Florida

Hi
There! I use my Kettlestack everyday. It's comfortable, secure,
inexpensive compared to regular kb and very easy to adjust. Then I see
some forum posts trying to convince people not to use a kettlestack and
it's obvious that they've never tried one and have another agenda. ...
Anyway, it's a great product & firm. Thanks FR, Illinois

I ordered your kettlestack handles while deployed to Iraq last year and
was very pleased with the ability to change the weight so quickly.
Though they thought I was crazy at first, my fellow Marines were
impressed as well and made me leave them behind when I returned to the
states. The other guys and I were really impressed with the short time
it took to buildup strength using the kettle bells. Especially when I,
being the smallest guy on our team, could do a bottoms up press with
50lb bells. Now that I am back and tried using the regular gyms on
base, I just don't get the same workout as with the kettlebells. A few
friends and I are looking to buy a few more and start working out in
the barracks and at home. Thanks for a great product. SSgt JD USMC |
Guys,
based on the excellent info on this thread I purchased a kettlestack.
It arrived yesterday, and I set up a 55 lb. stack. I have been training
with a RKC trainer for a couple of weeks. While I love the training
effect, bells were out of my price range. The stacks are a perfect
solution. They are easy to set up (mine took 2 mins., and they are
perfectly round due to their bowl trick). They are comfortable, and
they are a HELL of a lot cheaper than standard KBs. They certainly will
allow me to continue my routines at home. Another product that I think
is GREAT re: KB routines is Anthony Dilugio's "The Art of Strength". It
is a 45 min. workout, follow along, on DVD. It also comes with an MP3
player download that calls out the exercises/reps/calls out the time.
It is a tough workout! The combination of the above two products has
made me a happy man (albeit a tired one). Thank you to the guys above
for all the info. This is what makes this forum so valuable. BC, Maine |

got it. Thanks again! MC, LA, California

Yes,
thank you. I received it (the kettlestack order) a few days after your
last email. I've never used a "real" kettlebell so I can't compare the
two, but I love the workout I'm getting with the kettlestack! (SM, Thailand)

I thought my Kettlestack was good for swings & presses, but I still used a solid KB for snatches.
Then I saw that new front page (eg
) and the whole tweak thing clicked. You guys wasted a lot of time not
getting the word out! It's just as comfortable as my cast KB. Fix all
those pictures! JL, Texas

I have always enjoyed doing snatches and cleans and
the kettlebell versions are quite explosive, closer to competitive
movements than I have felt with pulling and pushing barbells and
dumbbells. It (kettlestacks) is an amazing supplement to the practical
old school barbell and dumbbell exercises that wrestlers, field
athletes have always incorporated into their training. The thick
handles are a bonus for gripping strength, no straps needed here.
Varying the weight is very fast and simple as
you advertised and there is no worrying about anything breaking on a
missed pull or push. I controlled dropped a 105 pound one arm
repetitive kettlebell clean on a missed 4th set. No damage, no
problem, Next set, all set to go. My friend spent a couple of hundred
dollars for a set of quick change dumbbells and they are not made to
be dropped at all. Let's just say he is lucky that his father is a
welder.
No
adjustable dumbbells on the market today with cheap plastic parts can
match these tough kettlebell handles using solid steel plates..
Simple, tough and practical. Who could ask for more? Undersold is an
UNDERSTATEMENT on your marketing. I have the Mike Mahler kettlebell DVD . The Kettlestack kettlebell handles and his DVD are a killer combination. DW British Columbia, Canada

| DW(again, but about his friend Rudy's Kstacks)....
Rudy
really likes the Kettlestack handles. He's hardly using those p*****s
(adjustable dumbbells) as much now. The Kettlestacks are more
explosive. I told him, "watch out!" they are killers for power and
speed. Hell, now he wished that he bought the Kettlestack handles in
the first place and used all that money he spent on the p*******s (adj.
dumbbells) ($900) for purchasing a COUPLE of hundred pounds of standard
plates and two inexpensive spring or spin collar dumbbell handles to do
his dumbbell exercises with, at least he could actually drop those
spring/spin collar dumbbells and not have to worry about them bending
or breaking. Live and learn through the wallet.
Speaking
of bending, I was looking at your web-site last week and noticed some
cheap imitation copy of the Kettlestack handle. what a piece of
garbage. a good selling point for Kettlestack handles though. All
good quality products out in the world are often IMITATED but NEVER
duplicated. Good luck to those cheap bastards out there buying those
crappy grip handles
to save a dollar or two. Stick to the original
that has been researched, tried, tested, patented and proven by the
ever growing number of testimonials. I hope you keep showing that
video for safety sake, it would be a shame to see someone getting hurt
from buying and using those imitation grip handles.
It
won't matter in the long run as these un-informed people are not
serious about training. To lift safely especially overhead or heavy is
it really worth it to buy and use sub-standard equipment? Penny wise
and pound foolish. When they start lifting some heavier poundage's and
getting hurt, some of those injuries that don't always heal correctly
and can permanently damage a once healthy body. I hope people will
think before they buy those cheap imitation kettle grip handles.
My
training is going great, doing some outside double snatches like 2005
WPO SHW power lifter champion Donnie Thompson. I am purchasing your
Steve Cotter DVD set. Hope it's as good as or better than Mike
Mahler's. It will probably be equal, as everything you guys do from
the service to the products has never disappointed me.

I'm
new to kettlebells, and I love this thing so far. I've been training
capoeira for years, and also rock climbing. I've got my kettlestack

the exercises in Pavel's Kettlebell Challenge book. Good stuff. I'll
recommend them to friends. SH, New York

I
finally made it home from the Philippines, and I have to say that the
two KS I ordered back in October 05 (w/blued steel upgrade) are the
best pieces of exercise equipment that I have purchased in a long time.
In fact, I just got done training with them in my back yard. Truly
awesome product and an awesome workout to boot!!! (KS are better than
solid kettle bells, weight changes are fast and simple, and there a
tough piece of equipment.) Hope that explains why I had the impulse
to buy another pair KS. (Good stuff ) Thank you! DD (Massachusetts)

HalvDog's Review of the KETTLESTACK ADJUSTABLE KETTLEBELL
Overall,
I definitely see the advantages of kettlebell training, if not for the
effort it takes to control the weights when swinging it, then for the
shear variety it can provide to a workout. It certainly is different
and enjoyable. Personally, I plan on purchasing a second handle from
Kettlestack so that I may try many more exercise variations... and
unless you have loads of room and $$$ for dozens of solid kettlebells,
I don't see why you would want anything else besides Kettlestack's
Adjustable Kettlebell.

Just
got my Kettlestack today in the mail, and I am impressed. Immediately
put 5 ten pound plates on it, and did the Secret Service Snatch test in
my office! Got 148 reps in 10 minutes with no gloves, and no hand
discomfort! Very nice smooth handle. So far I am duly impressed. KB, West Virginia

I
just returned form Brazil, I fought in the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu World
Championship the last weekend of july in the Adult division - brown
belt - Medium Weight. And I am back home with a Bronze Medal : not only
is this very good for a non Brazilian, but it is a major improvement
for me as last year I took 5th in the Purple Belt division. I really
want to give credit to this versatile tool you have provided me with:
the Kettlestack. I have been using kettlestacks as my only implement
for Strength and conditionning for more than a year and my
conditionning has dramaticly improved.
I
have been a black belt in Judo for more that 10 years, and hold a Brown
Belt In jiu-jitsu from Carlos Gracie Jr as I represent The Gracie Barra Academy
in france, I Know how important conditionning is, and, as a 29 year old
that works full time as an enginer and spend long hours in the Dojo for
practice and sparring, I don?t have extra time to go to a regular gym.
I have used Kettlestacks with weights ranging form 16 to 25 kilos and
have practiced the Olympic lifts (like the Snatch and the Clean and
Jerk) in circuit style routines together with bodyweight exercices. I
have reduced the time I dedicate to Strength and conditionning and was
able to spend more time praticing technical skills. The quality and the
durability of the Handle is really perfect and I am ordering an other
pair of your Handles to keep one at the Dojo. MS, France
|
Excellent!
I am very happy with the kettlestacks. The handles are extremely
comfortable as I hoped they would be. I am waiting for the weekend to
really spend some trying different configurations (round contour vs.
flat) and weights, but I couldn't resist trying them out after my
Monday and Tuesday workouts. So far I have only tried lightweight
snatches, swings and cleans.
I found that setting the axle
position to the highest level works the best for me in catching the
snatch. Keeping a straight arm and catching it in the
almost-upright-position (I dip into a half squat for dumbell snatches)
seems to really help, too. I haven't really got the hang of the cleans,
yet.
The one suggestion that I would have is to print out assembly
directions and send them with the handles. The assembly was easy and I
printed out directions from the website, but it wouldn't hurt to throw
in a printout for good measure. BW , Massachusetts

|
Awesome!
Despite the look of shock and horror on my wife's face when I slapped
the thing together and starting swinging it, I ran through a Mike
Mahler-designed workout and it really is "brutal fun;" I've got the
forearm bruises to prove it!
Before
I got the kettlestack, I had made up my mind to sell my power rack and
change my training 180 degrees. Typical bodybuilding and powerlifting
has very little applicability to grappling. Now, I believe I'm making
the right decision and I can't wait to see the overall effects on my
physique and performance a few months from now. ML, Knoxville,Tennesee

The
Kstacks are great! Let me tell you, the very next day I was asking your
shipping department about my second kettlebell stack (the two handles
had been shipped in two different packages), I got it. So it took for
both of them and the Mahler dvd less than two weeks to get to France
right after Christmas! Great job! Also, I am using French plates
bought locally from the sporting good store, so they are metric and
they work just fine. Could not be happier with my purchase; I should
have done it long ago. Keep up the good work!!! (PM, France)
|
|
I
have just started working with the kettlestacks and am very impressed!
Also, Thanks for the single heavy swing tip. Like you said, I find the
one heavy kettlebell swing easier to learn than two lighter
kettlebells. With your superior product and excellent customer
service, I will not hesitate recommending kettlestacks to anyone in
the islands! (KM Hawaii)

I tweaked the plates like on that crossgrip page
and they were as comfortable as my 1 Pood. I don't get those forum
posts that complain. My kettlestack works great (DM, Pennsylvania)

Hi, thanks for checking in (16 months later!). It's funny that I heard
from you just now, as I was thinking the other day that I must order
another Kettlestack. The other one's going great, but I'm planning on
getting another to tackle some of those two-bell exercises. I'll
probably put in an order in the next couple of weeks [closer to my
payday :)] JM , New Zealand

I
bought a KettleStack (adjustable kettlebell) a month ago and have been
very satisfied with the product. Once you've assembled it with the
weight you want, it remains solid and sturdy. I've performed countless
swings, snatches and clean and jerks with my KettleStack and never
heard any clanging of plates. It's a well-crafted piece of equipment
that I highly recommend.. JC , California

These things are great. I have 3 here is my payment for 2 more!
It
is really a genius idea that solves a lot of problems. I have more
than one set as as luxury to allow me to move quicker between sets.
When these arrive I'll have 2 as 35 lbs, 2 at 55 and 1 at 70. As I get
stronger I'll go to 2 55s, 2 70s and 1 80 or 85. I priced out some
fixed weight KBs and price-wise it made no sense. I have been working
w/ your product for a few mos and I am very pleased. (SH,Pennsylvania)
|
I
love them...I was just on my way out for some clean & jerks
actually. The adjustments are easy and quick which is great while
training other people. In fact it's the best equipment purchase I've
made in along time...I'm so glad I did not go with an imposter
kettlestack. Anyway it's exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy. KK, Ohio

I
have had the kettlestacks for a week and they work great. I am so
happy I went with your product rather than a solid kettlebell. Being
able to increase the weight in increments is very important when your
doing challenging ballistic exercises. I quickly found out that 1 1/2
pood kettlebell would have been way to heavy. The 38 lbs. I've got set
up is a great start for me in the ballistic moves, but I can set up
more weight for the grinds in minutes. Thank you for such a good
product. A.S. British Columbia

you for you follow up.... I've set it up for 54 - 55lb. I'm very

Letting
you know that the Kettlestacks (adjustable kettlebells) have arrived.
My husband and i spent the weekend playing with them and we are very
impressed to say the least. Excellent quality! We own a *** (adjustable
kettlebell) handle (which my husband has never liked) and it dosen't
even compare to the Kettlestack. The feel of the Kettlestack is supberb
and we can honestly say that there was no noticible difference with our
original kettlebell and the Kettlestack (except of course that the
Kettlestack is adjustable and can easily be taken with us on our
frequent travels), congratulations on a fine product! JS, Sweden

I
have worked with a wide variety of solid kettlebells. Most of them
have come out of Russia, but I have also trained with Polish,
Hungarian, and Czech variations in addition to kettlebells produced in
England and Germany. The one thing that I appreciate the most about
kettlestacks (adjustable kettlebells) is the greater distance between
the portion of the handle which you grip and the core. This distance
is greater than any of the bells I have worked with so far, and means
that there is no danger of having to let the wrist fall back even the
slightest bit to avoid the ball (core) hitting the back of the wrist.
With the stacks, you can even flex your wrist slightly forward and the
core will still be on your forearm where it belongs, and not your
wrist. In addition to that, the stability of a k-stack is superb, and
adjusting weight is easy. Instead of having 12 kettlebells filling my
living room, I could have two k-stack handles and a pile of plates and
be good to go. Kettlestacks cover the spectrum from 10 kg to 48 kg
(less than 1 pood all the way to 3 pood) quite perfectly as
well.Excellent product, and excellent product knowledge from the
provider!Highly recommended. MB,Germany(fka mxkettlebell.de)

I
just received my order today, which is in good time (6days to
Singapore). This is a very nice product and feels really solid. No
looseness at all. For a adjustable kettlebell handle, the form of it
functions like an actual kettlebell . Truly a mould of the original.
Other products are just bars or a bent bar, lacking the thickness and
curve.A great design! I will tell all my gym going freinds. The
delivery charges is really reasonable. No need to pay for heavy bars or
the actual kettlebell. EH, Singapore
|
|
The
last config you proposed (1 2 | 5 1 5 1 5 | 2 1) (24kg) is just about
perfect (for the Kettlestack adjustable kettlebell). I have put the
axle in the third hole which gives me a more controlable flipping and a
smooth landing on the snatch. The rack position in the clean is finaly
confortable. Did three workout with this config. and think it's very
very good.I cannot wait to try the two hands drills, but I think I will
have to relearn every thing in order to do correct double clean and
start very light. It is really worth trying the right config.
Thanks for your help. MS, France (Customer had odd sized metric plates)

To

The
Kettlestack (adjustable kettlebell) used some nice hardware and didn't
try to save 5 cents. As for the handle ... it's sweet and it's strong.

no preference between kettlestacks and kettlebells. MF, Minneapolis,Minnesota

hi,
Thanks for the kettlestack (adjustable kettlebell) handle, great
product, nice to be able to use different weights, highly recommend to
anyone. JD, England
|
The
main advantage I see from adjustable kettlebells is "price", in a sense
of the word. I have four kettlestacks (www.kettlestacks.com) and they
function as a complete set of kettlebells from 10lbs up to >100lbs.
Some people will say there is an advantage to progression, and that the
large jumps in traditional sizes are a disadvantage, but I don't see
that as an issue, for the most part. Varying the resistance by varying
the sets reps works just fine.
Price flexibility is the big deal to me. Depending on how I want to
work that day, I can adjust the kettlestacks to what I want to do (it's
easy, doesn't take much time at all). For example, any given workout I
can use (2) 1-pood, and (1) 1.5-pood and (1) 2-pood, or any other
combination of the above, or go higher or lower than the above in any
combination. Buying the four stacks and all the standard plates set me
back around $300, but I have a complete set of kettle bells, 1, 1.5, 2
and >2 KB's. I agree with an earlier post about not throwing adj
KB's. That's a disadvantage if and only if you plan to do throwing
movements. Also, I can use my std plates that I bought for my kb's for
my std dumbells.
As for the type of adj kb's, I looked into many and settled on the
kettle stacks as my choice. I called and talked personally to USA
Ketlebells and kettlestacks and was just more comfortable with the
durability of the stacks, but they were both helpful and very polite.
The only thing I can't comment on is the "feel". That's a bit esoteric
to me anyway. I get a great workout with the adjustables, and thats
what I want. The only real reason I want to someday purchase dragon
doors is to support what I think is a fine institution. But for me, I
couldn't afford the full set yet, and I'm sure Pavel would rather have
me working out with adj kb's than waiting to buy his, especially since
I suppory DD by buying his books and DVD's.
Good luck, you can't really go wrong so long as you start with something. |
